Dunluce castle

sunset

James took this pic of a magnificent ruined Jacobean manor perched on the side of a cliff in Co. Antrim. I don’t normally get too excited about sunset pics but this one blew us away with surprise.

The removal process has started

Today marks the beginning of the next chapter in the Pearce family travels.  Our Dublin house for only another 10 days or so is now minus the garden furniture, my entire wine collection  and three keyboards, oh and not forgetting a cherished sofabed from pre-babe days.  The subtle emptiness left behind is enough to make me realise that actually this is really happening – all those months of planning are now coming to a head.  Next stop India (via Devon and French Alps).

Just testin’ Flickr

We’re going to use Flickr to store our photos from our adventures. Here’s one from a few months ago to get started with.

Up and down

Welcome everyone

There comes a time in every blog’s life when it has to have a first post. And the world is littered with blogs that have one lonely post! (And yes, some of them were even ours…)

We hope this one will be different: for a start we’re on a big life adventure and there’s too much exciting stuff going on not to write about.

Stay tuned as we head off towards the sunset (or in the first instance, towards the sunrise) and we’ll file our reports as often as we can manage.
