Nashik Old Town
Posted in India on 03/22/2009 09:57 am by JamesThe boys go for a walk through the Old Town in Nashik. All photos brought to you by this week’s guest photographer, Jex.
So enjoy a brilliant glimpse of a frantic Indian market town from a 5 year old’s perspective…
There are many more like these on Flickr. Equipment? One blue Vtech Kidizoom.

Wow! I definitely approve of young children being introduced to cameras. Alison’s neice, aged 3 produced pictures of Mummy’s torso – no head. Mummy was puzzled – I said it was great, and just how she sees her. I didn’t get my first camera until the grand old age of eight, but I must say my first ever pic is quite respectable (not all that followed though).
I particularly like Jex’s photo of the girl in the yellow dress – really dynamic. Keep up the good work!

Very proud of you, Jex. Well done. My favourite is the little garland of flowers against the brick wall.

Jex you are a natural! Definitely giving Daddy a run for his money. Keep up the photography and let’s see what you take next! Maybe you can even lend your sister the camera one day and she can have a go?!

Wow Jex, what wonderful pictures. You must have had a lot of fun taking them. I particularly like the ones which really show off the colours and people of Nashik. I look forward to seeing some more
Lots of love to you all…

Brilliant!
What a portfolio.
I’m especially fond of the girl dashing along in her yellow dress.
Here’s my suggestion to Jex and James: James makes a site for Jex’s photos. That site doesn’t link to this or any other site that might reveal Jex’s age. Set it up like a professional photographer’s site. Even put in something about buying prints. (And of course don’t reveal the equipment used.)
Who knows what happens, but it might be fun to see.
And what a wonderful country to discover through the camera.
Good luck to both father and son on your continued photo journeys.
